Between 1980 and 1988 Leyland supported SD1s which successfully took part at several international events, like the British, French and German Touring Car Championships, the European Touring Championship, as well as many Rallye Championships of the Group A.
Those cars were high level platforms which proofed the ability of the SD1s
Series victory, especially during the years 1983 to 1986 led to some total victories in the Championships.
Rover CCV (Coupe Concept Vehicle)
For the Car Show in Geneva 1986 Roy Axe designed the CCV, even with the real intention of series production. Based on the Rover 800 the possibility of a coupe were tested, but reasonable doubts to sell the cars in the USA prohibited the realization of these intentions.
